Born in the beautiful country of Nepal, the land of Mount Everest and the birthplace of Buddha, our founder, Sanu Silwal, first started as a journalist. His journey brought him to the USA in 2005, eventually settling in North Carolina with a dream and 75 cents in his pocket. Alongside his professional pursuits, Sanu raised a family with three wonderful and beautiful kids: one son, Sandeep Babu Silwal, and two daughters, Shristi Baba Silwal and Sydney Baba Silwal. Sanu worked tirelessly, often up to 20 to 21 hours a day, to start a business and invest in properties. In 2009, he started his first gas station and convenience store in Morganton, NC. 

Today, Sanu owns several successful businesses and properties. His newest venture, the Knob Hardware & Tool Store, was born out of his decision to invest in a former Dollar General building. Sanu was inspired to invest in the hardware business after meeting a fellow entrepreneur who transitioned from gas stations to hardware stores. Now, Sanu is bringing the same hard work and determination that marked his past successes to Knob Hardware & Tool Store.

As a newcomer to the hardware retail business, Sanu is driven by the support and love of his vendors, customers, team, and family. He is excited to bring high-quality hardware products and excellent customer service to the community of Connelly Springs.
